Field Notes
6 April - 5 May 2026

introduction

Photography often functions as a form of visual evidence—a way to anchor specific moments that would otherwise be lost to the flux of time. Field Notes gathers artists who operate as observers of the overlooked, transforming the act of moving through the world into a process of visual harvesting. In this space, the image serves as a record of presence, acting as a fragment of proof that a particular scene, however fleeting, was truly noticed.

This collection investigates the boundary between a documentary record and a subjective impression. A peeling facade on a quiet side street or the brief, imprecise gesture of a stranger becomes an essential annotation in a personal cartography. The works on display treat the everyday as a territory to be scouted, where curiosity serves as the compass guiding the lens through both vast, open landscapes and minute, textured details.

These visual diaries reflect the weight of the ordinary when viewed through a lens of intentionality. The exhibition highlights how the act of documentation shifts our perception of environment, turning common surroundings into a series of significant discoveries. Each piece stands as a quiet testament to the rhythm of the world and the diverse narratives found within the simple act of looking.
